Election Year Posturing

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Everybody is critical of standardized tests, but the destruction of public education will continue unabated because both political parties have been compromised to the point of uselessness. The despised public will have to insist on a return to PUBLIC education and have to fight the fight piece by piece, state by state, district by district, school by school.

We know with this Congress and White House nothing is going to come of this. The problem in a nutshell is that Obama and Duncan have facilitated the destruction of public education in the United States because they are owned lock, stock, and barrel by the billionaires dictating education policy. They are neoliberals, NOT Democrats, and should be impeached for violating the separation of powers. At the very least there needs to be a congressional investigation of the ties between Obama and the billionaires like Bill Gates and Eli Broad in their scheme to destroy one of the foundations of our democracy, public education. The federal government had no business whatsoever, beginning with No Child Left Behind, through perverting the mission of Title I funding, dictating how state and school districts regulated education. It has gotten a thousand times worse under Obama, once a board member of a foundation that promoted charter schools (and NEVER should have come close to the presidential nomination as a result), the Joyce Foundation. I am serious when I say, as a liberal Democrat, that these two fakers, Obama and Duncan, need to be impeached and removed from office as a result of their flagrant lawbreaking on education.
