Credo of Sociopaths

Somehow I missed this about Common Core and standardized testing guru David Coleman. He clearly despises everything about education if it doesn't serve the purposes of his elite class. He hates reading for reading's sake. After all, if students read many different types of books, fiction and nonfiction, and on many, many subjects, they might become educated and may ask some uncomfortable questions.

We can't have that, can we?

Coleman has no background at all as an educator apart from having done a bit of tutoring. He was rejected for high school teaching and turned instead to consulting-type work.

He also hates students who dare express a point of view and teachers who teach expository writing or personal narratives. This quote should have been plastered everywhere when he said it. Somehow I missed it:

The fifth point is about writing. Do people know the two most popular forms of writing in the American high school today? Texting someone said; I don't think that's for credit though yet. But I would say that as someone said it is personal writing. It is either the exposition of a personal opinion or it is the presentation of a personal matter. The only problem, forgive me for saying this so bluntly, the only problem with those two forms of writing is as you grow up in this world you realize people really don't give a shit about what you feel or what you think.

That is a sociopath talking. The ONLY people who make a positive impact on the world are people who DO "give a shit" about expressing their beliefs and feelings and are recognized by others who "give a shit" because they also have beliefs and feelings.

Coleman's dad is a shrink, and his dad should refer him to one.

No wonder he has associations with the likes of Michelle Rhee. Birds of a feather and all of that.

None of them "gives a shit" except how to scam the taxpayers. They certainly don't "give a shit" about what teachers think.
