Ain't income inequality grand?

There is a reason milk is pasteurized.

Lots of nitwits and food faddists are posting comments saying it is their "right" to get sick on raw milk because they choose to drink it.

For fuck's sake, public health is EVERYBODY'S business.

Bill Moyers tells it like it is about the current political and economic climate.

Death: Oscar-winning documentary director Malik Bendjelloul, only 36, has died of an apparent suicide.

He was the director of the documentary Searching for Sugar Man.

"Searching for Sugar Man," which tells the story of how American singer Sixto Rodriguez became a superstar in South Africa without knowing about it, won the Oscar for best documentary in 2013. It was the first time a Swedish film won an Oscar since Ingmar Bergman's "Fanny and Alexander" in 1984.

The soft-spoken, unassuming Bendjelloul worked as a reporter for Sweden's public broadcaster SVT before resigning to travel the world. He got the idea for "Searching for Sugar Man" — his first feature film — during one of his trips, but it would take him more than four years to complete the film. - See more at:

A good obituary of him is here.
