Trusteegate: Recall Time

Jon Ralston reports that a drive is underway to recall three of the six trustees responsible for the Martinez mess. The subjects of the recall are the three most recently elected trustees: Lisa Ruggerio, Howard Rosenberg, and last and certainly least, Dave Aiazzi.

Excerpt from the petition:

As most of you know, Washoe County School District Superintendent Pedro Martinez was fired (now on administrative leave) by the Board of Trustees. The act was done behind closed doors in violation of the Nevada Open Meeting Law. The grounds for his termination, false representation of CPA credentials, were fabricated and inaccurate. First Lady Kathleen Sandoval, Reno Mayor Bob Cashell, District Attorney Dick Gammick, Truckee Meadows Community College President Maria Sheehan, Developer Perry Di Loreto and many other have voiced their strong opposition to the Trustees’ action. A group of prominent, concerned citizens is banding together to mount a recall effort to replace three of the seven most destructive trustees: Dave Aiazzi, Howard Rosenberg and Lisa Ruggerio. The process requires that we gather the signatures of 25 percent of the registered voters, who voted in the 2012 election, when each was elected.

Lotsa luck. It may end up being a moot point once the AG comes down hard on them.

There are actually TWO recall petitions out there. From the KTVN video report:

How does one get in contact with those initiating a recall? Do you have their contact information?
