The Reno Gazette-Journal is requesting the state attorney general investigate the WCSD Board of Trustees' violation of the Open Meeting Law.
I was under the impression the AG was already investigating, but the RGJ is on the record now with such a request.
There are only two issues here with the Martinez situation: the breach of contract and the violation of the Open Meeting Law. The Confederacy of Dunces violated both, and Martinez will win big, either through a settlement or a judgment. Not that the board cares because it isn't their money at stake except for perhaps the $500 (per board member) slap-on-the-wrist sanctions for violating the OML.
