Former WCSD sup and national Superintendent of the Year Heath Morrison, who ditched WCSD to go on to greener pastures in Charlotte, North Carolina, has resigned the superintendent job there effective Thursday.
Like former CCSD superintendent Dwight Jones, Morrison cited family reasons, specifically an ailing mother, for the departure.
It may be true. I laughed, though, when I heard the news, especially the timing given the fact WCSD superintendent Pedro Martinez is wrapping up his two-year stint with the dysfunctional, corrupt district tomorrow.
The timing was kind of funny.
Speculation is running wild that he may wind up taking over the scandal-ridden LAUSD.
