For once I actually side with the WCSD Board of Trustees.

It is a waste of money to conduct a nationwide search for a superintendent when there is somebody doing the job already.

Obituary: Actor and folk singer Theodore Bikel, 91, has died. He was known for many film and stage appearances spanning decades:

He originated the role of Captain von Trapp in “The Sound of Music” on Broadway and starred in “Fiddler on the Roof” onstage in thousands of performances.

Bikel first appeared in the movies in John Huston’s 1951 classic “The African Queen” and Huston’s “Moulin Rouge.” He went on to star in Stanley Kramer’s 1958 film “The Defiant Ones,” starring Sidney Poitier and Tony Curtis. He played a Southern sheriff pursuing a pair of fugitives and was Oscar nominated for the role.
