Thursday Etc.

A big loss for the horse racing world as one of the top racehorses in the country, Shared Belief, 5, has died after surgery to treat colic.

A gelding, he won many top races:

Shared Belief, the champion 2-year-old male of 2013, died Dec. 3 after a colic episode. The Candy Ride gelding, who had resumed training after suffering a fractured pelvis while racing in the April 18 Charles Town Classic Stakes (gr. II), was in trainer Jerry Hollendorfer's barn at Golden Gate Fields in California.

According to co-owner Alex Solis II, Shared Belief trained well the morning of Dec. 3, but after being returned to his stall, broke out in a sweat and was unresponsive to initial medical treatment.

Obituary: Musician Cynthia Robinson, one of the original members of the group Sly and the Family Stone, has died. She was 71 and died of cancer on November 23.

She played the trumpet for the band:

Robinson first joined Sly Stone in a short-lived group called Sly and the Stoners in 1966. Soon after, he asked her to be a member of the Family Stone, whose lineup of black and white musicians of both sexes and its hippie sensibilities closely reflected the ideals of the counterculture.

Dumb shit school district in Illinois caves to perv pressure and allows a boy to use the locker room with girls.

The elites really are trying to kill the rest of us off.

The Republican Party, once a halfway respectable political party, has now been taken over by insane people who are willing to destroy the country.
