No Wonder Fewer People Want to Go Into Teaching

Can you blame people for refusing to go into the field of education? First all of the mandates made by mostly people who don't know squat about teaching and learning, then about worrying about being fired and having your career ruined for no reason, and then having to worry about your very life being at risk.

In this case, it is an Idaho principal and his family who were targets of a group of thugs who committed arson and attempted murder allegedly in retaliation for being disciplined.

It seems like this bullshit is happening more and more. Just a few days ago a teacher was assaulted because some asshole girls wanted to retaliate when she disciplined them. They decided to spike her drink with pepper--still a crime.

Mark Heleker, principal of the 430-student high school in the small southwest Idaho community, said he and his wife were awakened during the fire by their adult daughter at about 1 a.m. on Feb. 22 after she returned from walking her dog and saw flames shooting from the home's attached garage.

Nobody was hurt, including the pets, but most of their belongings were destroyed.
