Never Bring a Knife to a Gunfight

I haven't seen my brother since 2003, but it is comforting to know he is still alive. However, he is working overtime to get into the Darwin Awards:

STOCKTON — A tense moment unfolded Thursday morning outside a north Stockton business when a police officer pulled his gun on a transient man who was advancing toward him with a knife, authorities said.

The officer told Gary Nunes, 63 [sic--he was 64 at the time], to move along because he was disrupting customers shortly after 9:10 a.m. in the 1500 block of East Hammer Lane, police said. As the officer walked back to his patrol car, he turned to see Nunes coming toward him with a knife, authorities said.

According to police, Nunes said, "You better pull your gun." The officer drew his weapon and ordered Nunes to drop the knife. Nunes complied and was taken into custody without further incident, police said.

Nunes was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, authorities said.

He must have needed a shower or a place to sleep badly to do something so incredibly stupid. I haven't laughed this hard in months.

If he ever gets shot by a cop, rest assured you will not find me on the talk show circuit talking about police shootings.
